''Cargo trains can operate inside the city or with an outside connection. Build stations and connect them with tracks before using the train line tool to make a line''.
It seems to suggest that you can in fact create lines between cargo train terminals, but perhaps that was just an assumption on my part. I had already seen what you quoted, I think I just assumed this asset was modded to make it work, until now I hadn't bothered to place cargo train terminals and attempt to create a line between them.
Hopefully someone will make it possible one day.
This usually involves cars coming to/from the terminal. I'd reccomend making an independent circle that has 2 cargo terminals. 1 for outside stuff coming in and one for that stuff to go to your city. Need to limit traffic as much as possible, it's the entire point of using trains.
it's importnat to keep passanger tracks and cargo tracks sepperate, if not everything gets clogged up even on the rails.
or a challenge in every oppertunity, if you see it that way.
To do that, make sure that your outside connections are ONLY connected to cargo stations. You can either have no passenger stations at all, or a separate passenger loop that doesn't meet the cargo/outside connection lines at any point.
