Demand bars ballance
At the start i zone very carefully but it seems im not able to create a ballance. The game demands that you keep building. Say i have twenty houses with people, some shops and industry. Everybody has work and there is no labour demand. Green / blue and yellow demand bars are at zero. I would say: everybody happy. Lets keep it that way. But somehow people start to get angry and the green bar is filling rappidly. The game forces me to build more houses. I just cant take my time to enjoy my little town. I have to build build build. Why does it all have to go so quick and why is there so much pressure?

If you''re getting demand for zonning it means you're doing something right.
But if you're citizens are growing unhappy you're probably missing a vital service or something. Having demand won't piss them off, and you don't necessarily HAVE to build according to the zone demand indicator. It's just there to tell you what would be good to zone.

Yeah don't chase the demand bars. Look at your unemplyoment rate, try to keep it around 5%. Then use the bars as a suggestion for what type of jobs you want more of.

Yeah it's an odd thing with the game, even if you strike the perfect balence then decide to focus on public services the bars will fill all the same. I get the feeling if I keep chasing the balence of bars I'll be at it forver and likely miss out on solid infratructure.

Im under the 500 residents marker so i do not have education / medical health available. Somehow the game forces me to build more houses to get the 500 peeps marker. If i do not build more houses (as said there is no need for commerce or industry) the happiness will go down rappidly. I do understand that the housing marker grows when there is a shortage of workers but there isn't. And this will probably continue at every level...

I think I understand what you say. I often feel in a rush to meet the demand and I can't plan properly my next step or do some detailing. Many of my cities end up collapsing because the traffic becomes impossible to handle due to poor planning.
