How do I get more people to use the train
I have a train line with 4 stations stretching across my 32,000 population city but only 40 people use it each week, how can I improve this

Is it well connected to bus routes?

I have a 15000 city and about 200 people use it because they can use the bus to get to it

make sure it serves relevant zones and if that doesn't work cut off major highways:steammocking:

1, use your passenger train lines connect the residence and working zones such as industry and office, then your citizens will desire to use trains to go to work and back to home.
2, connect your train lines and bus routes, so those people far away from the metro station could get there by bus, or the metro station could serve only a small area.
3, don't set too long bus routes, the bus should be used to transport people from their home to metro station, not do a long travel, it's job of metro and train, not bus.

I tend to prefer using bus relays. Passenger trains are rediculously expenive. On a personal note I find them very economically inefficient. Metro is good for costs too, but bus stops use much less space that could otherwise be used for more housing or industry or commercial, ect. Though to be fair, I have tweaked the busses to suite myself better.

I've used a mix of transport options for my cims and it seems the more balanced, the better my city is for it. Tulip gave some great tips and I would agree with all of them.
