Cities: Skylines

Once again - Intel Graph : i5 4590 | 16 GB | Intel 4600 - Will it work - somehow ?
Sorry guys to bother you. I am following the messages quite well but I understand there are a lot of performers with < 16 GB main. Mainly 4 or 8 GB. So while having 16 GB with Intel Graph 4600 I hope there might be a hope that "somehow" the game will run quite accetable ?

I do not have plenty of time to play but sometime some hours - rarely - it would be quite nnice to play.

Any idea if with the above spec it will run ? I dont cate about high end sophisticated graphics and would be quite OK IF it will work....

Thanks for feedback !

overall is acceptable, except that Intel 4600. C:S doesnt officially support Intel HD graphic. it may run, or may not, depends on your luck.
It may run or may not as it is unsupported. If it does work, it still won't be anything amazing.
Having more than 4GB of ram (or 5GB for integrated graphics) does basically nothing to compensate for a poor graphics card. All the extra ram may do is let you use more mods or build larger cities, but if the base game wont run well then that's not very helpful at all. Otherwise the Intel 4600 graphics is only slightly underpowered compared with the minimum specs; it's actually not officially supported at all, but user testimony is that the game will run under Intel graphics on "low" settings. As such, you might be okay.

Basically, just get a different graphics card that is supported, AND is compatible with the other software/hardware on your computer and you at least have a chance. I've heard some people that have 16GBs say they have trouble in the later game stages since it'll use progessively more and more resources from your computer.
To clear any misconceptions here, the game will pretty much run on anything the underlying Unity game engine will run on (which is pretty much anything). The minimum specs is not so much about what is supported by the engine in a hard sense, but rather it's about the level of performance required to get an acceptable player experience (in the eyes of the developers). Integrated graphics are getting better over time and the HD 4600 is not that bad. (and the new Intel HD 530 is completely on par with the Nvidia GTX 260 and as such is powerful enough to obsolete the statement in the minimum requirements)

Relevant to the HD 4600, I found a gameplay video:

anybody want a schematic for a moderately priced build that will run CS at 60fps constant on max settings? Here we go:

GPU: GTX 700,900 series, 780ti, gtx 960 2gb, memory isn't a necessity for this game 2gbs should hold.

CPU: i5 extreme, moderate i7 4th generation for starters, i7 4790 or k, go with the sky lake architecture 6th gen if you are feeling a bit spendy.

Ram: 8gbs DDR3 16gbs if you want a serious stockpile of mods and assets.

seriously don't go with an integrated graphics card if you aren't going to go with the best ones.

Also you need more than 4gbs of ram if you plan on actually playing the game. (I.e making big cities) CS depends on memory if memory is limited the game will prompt you to either close it or to close other to programs that are open to free up space.

please take in the fact that these specs are optimal for high fps on high settings. any other pieces of hardware recommended by the devs are limited to their set parameters in terms of in-game performance.
