Starting the game without mods

Is there a way to turn off mods from the start. Before the menu. I cant get past the paradox screen without it locking up. I've unsubscribed from all the new content I grabbed since last time. Was working fine late last night, now nothing.

I didn't know the mods from Workshop affected the game before load. Thought they only came into effect when you loaded up a save.

It typically takes me about 2 to 5 minutes to get to the main screen on this laptop... once selecting which city to load, that generally takes 7 to 10 minutes to get into. Be patient, it will load. It's just slow as all get out.

There is a load option (I think its -no workshop) or some such. That should allow you to run the game with no mods.

The startup option is --noWorkshop (no assets or mods) or --disableMods (no mods)
