"Not Enough Buyers for Products" but it's the shipyard
My shipyard thinks there's not enough buyers for products. Bro just teleports the ships out for cash, does he not? So why would it matter if I have "enough buyers". Is it normal for my shipyard to give me this alert? (note: I do have rebalanced industries amongst a shipload of other mods, but if the problem is mod related then I guess that's the most likely culprit.)

I assume this error would mean that you do not have enough commercial zoning for imports?

The shipyard produces cruise ships.

Oops, my mind went to the cargo port, rarely use the actual shipyard. Not sure how it does its math, probably something to do with number of sims in a certain area/distance travel time and price of cruises.

I'm pretty sure it still uses trucks to deliver its unique goods. Sounds stupid, but I think the ships we see it building is just for show.

From Paradox Wiki

The Shipyard has a unique mechanic among the Unique Factories. It only creates cruise ships that logically cannot be sold to commercial shops as it is too big to fit in one and is too expensive for the average person to buy. Instead; when the Luxury Goods storage of the shipyard becomes full, the cruise ship will immediately be exported without needing trucks or vans to ship it.

If it's immediately exported without needing trucks or vans, and cannot be sold internally, it shouldn't be taking issue with there not being buyers...

Yes, it is a concept problem, the shipyard is a factory that has only 1 truck available to transport goods. If the truck has not returned the cargo, i.e. the ship, cannot leave and display the message.

I don't know what behavior it has in vanilla now, but with rebalanced industry, 1 truck is used for export. That's for sure.

It is an easy problem to solve if you are aware of its mechanism.

Okay so the solution is to put my shipyard next to a cargo harbour/train harbour/cargo airport so the truck can get it out of the city fast and come back, I'm assuming?

yes

For me, when a ship is completed, it just vanishes as it is "automatically" delivered to the next buyer.
The cargo limits of your outer connection is not enough. The basic mechanics of industry/business is, the Industrial/office area produce goods, transport cargo business district, and export cargo via outer connections. But the game cannot identify what kind of cargo you have, whether it is ship cargo or land cargo, whether it is by ship or by land, whether it is industrial area or office area. The only difference is that the "cargo" in the office area does not need transportation, it can be 'teleported' to the commercial area or warehouse.

It literally makes NO difference, The only restriction or requirement for the shipyard is that it must be built on a shoreline and access (nearby warehouses) to the materials it uses. Placed partly on land and partly in the water. Beyond that build it anywhere you like to and can get it to function. That's ALL you need to do. The shipyard itself will handle everything else.

Like WhiteKnight77 said, when the ship is completely built it will disappear and the yard will start building another ship. That's ALL there is to it. :)

Since you're using the mod you can just put a warehouse nearby the factory and set it to unique goods. That way there the factory will deliver it to the warehouse and get its truck back quickly enough for the next one.
