Hearses won't pick up dead bodies
So I started with 1 cemetary for my 4900 population city and it seemed to be doing the job without breaking a sweat. For the following scenario, please keep in mind that my cemetary was able to pick up anyone in its radius before this started, and expansion has only been going on in a different area so this area never really grew in traffic or population.

All of a sudden, I noticed people weren't being picked up, my cemetary was stuck on 58 bodies with 1 hearse out of 13 somewhere (still not sure how to find it, but it's been in transit for an hour now - I'm guessing this is part of the issue). I have since tried placing two more cemetaries, bulldozed all previous skull houses, and now the hearses won't even pick up new dead bodies even if theyre the next house over.

Can you think of anything to try? I've done a lot of googling on this, and I've rechecked traffic routes to make sure they can get there (which ofc they were able to earlier), I'm trying to empty my first cemetary in case that refreshes anything, and my budget for healthcare services is 150%. Thank you for any help you can give me!

If you have access to both crematoriums and cemataries, place multiple cemataries around as well as several crematoriums. Cemataries have more hearses than crematoriums and can cover larger areas. Crematoruims can dispose of more dead bodies than they can pick up so once a cematary is full, empty it so they are taken to the crematoriums.

I hope this helps.

Make sure that there are no one way roads restricting hearses, or other city services vehicles from getting to places. You will need multiple cemataries before you can get crematoriums.

Hearses do a really bad job of staying local. They'll try to drive across your entire city (well outside of the green coverage area, even if another crematory is right next door), which may cause them to be stuck in traffic. Since one has been dispatched for the body, more local ones won't dispatch a hearse of their own. It's a really inefficient system and there's no solution in the vanilla game besides just having flawless traffic.

Thank you for the all the answers so far, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. WhiteKnight, the traffic flow is fine, and even when I place a new crematorium next to a new skull icon, it won't pick them up.

I remember knowing a way, at one point, to highlight all of a building's vehicles somehow - does anyone know how to do that so I can find this one hearse? And building on this, if I find the hearse and it's stuck, is there any way to call it back?

Thank you! I found the hearse that was stuck, emptied the cemetary, and after replacing all the rest of my cemetaries things are working again. Much appreciated!
