Bus depot or bus station
Hi my city is spread around the coast so there is no central location. I cant see the sense in having a bus station or am I missing some advantage?

Also how many busses can a depot handle?

Many thanks

The title is a bit confusing!
You need a bus depot to have busses, then you place some bus stations for the first bus line!

If you have a commercial centre and any of the After Dark tourism/leisure centres then you have an opportunity to use a bus station as a terminal for all of the lines that come together from residential. Treat it as a transport hub that Cims can disembark at and head into town or transfer to metros/rail.
A depot on the otherhand is just a source point for your buses.

To answer your second question : bus depots can spawn an infinite number of buses (see http://www.skylineswiki.com/Bus ).

You don't need a bus station. If you have maybe a large number of buses all going down one road then a bus station can make the lines a bit more managable and easier to select but other than that I've not really noticed any advantage over a regular bus stop.

Depots are different though and you need at least one. You can get away with just one as there's no limit on the number of buses it can handle, though it can be helpful to have one or two more as a backup in case, say, your only depot is on fire etc. If you have some buses in operation in only the day or night having multiple depots also means they aren't all queuing to get into or out of the same depot at once.
