Leasure vs Tourism
Do unique buildings, casinos for instance, do better in tourism zones vs leasure zones? Seems locals would find it leasurely but it would also be a draw for tourists.

I've found that even with great transport links and lots of attractions the tourism/leisure zones don't have that much impact in the game- they look nice but are really disappointing. Broken?

I would say its working but not as much as it should. *unique buildings and tourist attractions won't help increase funds but it does with the visitors* There's a mod to actually fix this problem on the impact of leisure and tourism zones.

I don't know about leisure mods fixing this problem in the game

Whenever I build a leisure zone my cims flock to it.

I usually build a tourist zone near the beach. Then a leisure zone behind it. Then regular commercial zone and then an office zone. All this leading up to my big block of residential.

To clarify: Residential zone. One row (8 wide) office zone, one row (8 wide) commercial zone, two or three rows (for a total of 32) for leisure. I'll usually put some unique buildings in here too. i.e. stadium, theater. Then a small tourisit section. Usually not more than 4 rows wide (total 36) and not that very long.

I also have a dedicated rail line for tourist here along with my city rail service and metro service.

It works for me.
