How do i download heightmaps without terrain.party?
I want to do a map and dowload a heightmap, but i wanna find new ways of downloading it, any help?

Send a satellite into geosynchronous orbit.
Instruct the satellite to measure the topography of the planet below and transmit that data to you. Translate that telemetry into a workable DEM database.
Pick an 18km squared area by co-ordinates and voila, you have your own height map.

Alternatively, try accessing the same sources of telemetry data that terrain party uses... or just wait a few days for terrain party to regain a link to those sources.

yeah it has been over 2 or 3 weeks and terrain.party is still not working
Yeah, I really want to use terrain party for over a week but cannot.

Have you guys tried posting at terrain.party?

Who is in charge of terrain.party? I assumed it was Paradox/Colossal Order, but it doesn't seem like it.

Here's the wiki info on heightmaps. maybe you can create your own?

Hello. I know it's an old thread, but I think I can contribute a little. NASA has a nice public topography map covering the whole world in this link: https://visibleearth.nasa.gov/images/73934/topography. Just download the big PNG image and cut out your region of interest.
