Where do you find the Assets you've subscribed too?
Question for the community.. Where do you find the assets you've subscribed too? Such as buildings, trees, decals, essentially everything. Where would these files be if I'm keeping everything in the cloud with Steam? AND where would these files be if I'm downloading them to my SSD?

I'm subscribed to a ridiculous amount of assets and I'm thinking about unsubscribing to everything and uninstalling the game and then doing a full re-install and go back and subscribe to only the assets and Mods that I want to use, and to do this, I'm simply making the ones I want to keep "Favorites" so they're easy to go back and re-subscribe too.

My loading screen is too craZy long and many assets keep showing up as being missing when I've unsubscribed to them long ago. I just want to try it from scratch, because when i first downloaded the game I was new to using Steam and the whole Workshop Experience, as I've been a Mac user for over a decade that moves away from PC Gaming due "life happening" but now I'm back into PC gaming and building rigs and so forth and I luv simulation games, especially city building, so naturally Cities: Skylines was a must, actually a big reason why I left the Mac OS and just went back into the world of customizing PC's and just having fun, something that Macs have sadly taken away, with their "don't open the case" "you can't upgrade your mac because we've welded everything to the motherboard" and so forth.. Anyways, sorry to rant a little there, but any help on how I can find those files, so when I do go do a fresh install, I know they're all out of my Steam account and off my SSD, if they are in fact saved there.

Thank you! Big fan of this community and the asset and MOD creators, so much talent, it's insane.

goto the workshop, move the mouse over "Your Files" click "Subscribed Items"
Thanks Apples, I know how to do that. I'm looking for actual asset files? I downloaded the game to my SSD and I play off of that, so when i subscribe to an asset or mod I see the "Starting Download" alert pop up at the bottom of my screen while in Steam. So, I'm wondering where the actual files download to on my SSD, or do they?

yes they do, but they will continue to do so aslong as you are subscribed to them.

It's something like:

\steamapps\workshop\content\255710

unsubscribing from them usually removes them from your drive, however certain mod files can be left in your Cities Skylines folders.
OK, I will look for that file, thanks, much appreciated.
The Loading Screen Mod will give you a nicely–formatted report that will show which assets are actually in use in the current map, along with other useful information. It will include links to assets that are missing. These are the ones that are used by the current map but that you aren’t subscribed to. You’ll probably find that to be much more useful than the raw files themselves.
Assets from which you unsubscribed but are still showing as 'missing', may actually be mandatory parts of other assets that you've kept, which is why you get the missing message. If you're using the loading screen mod and the missing items are in orange-coloured text, don't worry about it, there won't be any problems. Red-coloured errors however, are very important and need attention.
Yea, most of my cities have a few orange missing asset warnings. It’s just some bushes or flowers or other assets that got dropped off of the Workshop. Maybe the author deleted them or their whole Steam account. It happens. Whatever other assets they were used it will just be missing some props.
As long as its not missing network, it is fine. I dont need 9000 different aircond props, 1000 variations of pine tree..... it is fine to deliberately not subscribe to props you deem not neccessary to reduce memory consumption.

It's something like:

unsubscribing from them usually removes them from your drive, however certain mod files can be left in your Cities Skylines folders.

In addition to the 255710 Folder, you will need to go to your User/AppData/Local folder, and then clean up or delete the Paradox/CitiesSkylines folders .. this is where some mods store their configuration files, so even a deleted and un-subbed mod/asset can persist to cause problems.
