What road type is best for heavy industry?
When planning big industry trackers and trucks always seem to get clogged, So what's the best road type for these guys? Normal arounds with medium roads on the outside? What's the answer? Do I need to have a round about going round and round to prevent this? Also, on another note, when I built a train yard suddenly traffic got super bad. What should I do? Get rid of it? Or should I make another train yard?

You do not need much commercial and you should only zone enough generic industry to supply that commercial and no more.
Industry needs a direct route to the outside and a direct route to commercial (neither routes should pass through any residential).
The best road type would be rail to connect to the outside and to commercial. Make sure you use 1 terminal for intercity cargo and a separate innercity line for commercial cargo.
As for the traffic that will line up to use the terminals, I like these traffic sponges which are quick, efficient and get your trucks off the regular roads. You can subscribe to them or make your own as I do.

Hope that helps ;)

You can delete the road of the train or seaport station and replace it with a 6 lane dual carriageway and that'll do the job fine.

i respectfully disagree with only zoning enough generic industry or any other type of industry, exporting goods and raw materials is a good source of jobs and money. Good for the economy.

A cargo terminal works better with a one lane one way road.
Using a two way multi lane road would serve no purpose other than to cause more congestion when vehicles from both directions try to enter and leave the terminal.
With a one way road they enter from one side and exit from to the other, which flows unhindered.

Zoning more residential and using industrial demand for offices is a better source of jobs and income. Tax revenues are far more beneficial to the economy than export revenues. Offices require no goods and so do not generate delivery traffic and they create no pollution.
But everyone is free to zone any way they wish ;)

Industry is cooler to look at and is more awesome, so therefore I will use industry.

You can build however you like, just don't expect the traffic AI to do you any favours.

Underground highway to connect your industrial<>conmercial<>import/export is the cheesy easy way.

One extremely important thing at the industrial areas is to never zone anything along the main roads. If you use a 4 lane road in the middle, make sure there is one empty square on both sides of it and force the deliveries / pickups to happen on the side roads. Makes a huge difference on traffic flow when there is no stopping trucks amongst it.

Or even better: build offices at main roads.
