Terrain Edge Spikes from Map Editor Map
Map is perfectly flat in the Map Editor - but when I start a city all these spikes appear?

Do I need to fine tune my height map to a specific (round number) height?

this happen to me as well when i was making my most recent New York map, the way i ended up fixing it was i had to soften all the edges in the map editor. I put the Brush Strength at .01 but you can probably get away with .05 or so (as long as its not strong you won't lose you shoreline but it does take a while), I had to keep going into a test map to make sure i got it all unspikey.... the good news is that with the new quay/seawall tool you can create hard edges while your are building your city, this is the map i had the spikes on...

Ah okay, so it's the steepness of the walls, and probably the height. That makes sense. I do have some steep a$$ tall edges.

I'll try the soften edges. Thanks for the tip.
