Raise land from Ocean

So I'm terraforming, ingame, raising the land from the ocean to have more space for the main land. Main issue is the land is all sand and whenever I build a road on this area, the road does not stay even with the land. it's kinda sinking.

is there any way to fix this problem ?

you may be able to use the quay/seawall to flatten the new shoreline you are creating

Are you building the roads right after you raised the land? Just wait for the water to get readjusted.
