Missing walls after importing model into asset editor from Sketchup/3DS Max
Hey guys. Today I decided I wanted to start/learn how to make new assets for Cities Skylines.

I've been following tutorials all day and I've learnt a lot.

Sadly there seems like I'm missing something or doing something wrong.

When I finaly finish the model, and after all the process on 3ds Max, once I load the model and textures into the asset editor something weird happens.

It seems like the walls are missing! But then I realized that it happens only when I'm looking at the building from the outside, the walls seem transparent.

Whe I get inside the model all the walls are there. Strange.

I've tried everything, textures, colors only complete white model, complete gray, adding more lines, then less lines. It is frustrating!

Can anyone please help me?

Original model on Sketchup.

Then when I load it in the asset manager. Transparent/missing walls.

But when I get inside, the walls are there!

I made a mediterranean suburban home at first before this model and it also happened but only with one of the walls.

Help me please.

those faces of the wall is flipped inside out, thats why. you are seeing the back face.
Thanks. How can I fix that?
in 3DS -> edit poly -> face select -> click the face -> flip

I dont use Sketch up, but it should have similiar function.
Hi. Sorry that i can read your Post only with a shake of the head. You really think that you are able to do that just with reading a few tutorials? I have 3 dsmax for 14 years now and even I didn't know everything about the whole program. So respect to you.

But to help you out. Go to the Edit Menu. There's a dropdown. Add a Flip Normals Modifier to it. That should do the trick. You can also Flip single Polygons in the Edit Poly Modifier.

Good Luck :)
Thanks guys. I figured out I can fix it directly on Sketchup. All I had to do was select the whole model, then right click, reverse faces. Solved!
