one way streets with harbours and railway stations
hi there,
i'm trying to build a railway station and harbour in areas with one way streets.
seems like it's not possible since there is a street already in front of these structures. i can't upgrade / change the streets with the default game's tool.

thanks for your help!
cheers

Nothing you can really do without mods.
I like to use the roads with divider in middle with a loop on end instead of one way. It works better. Just make sure you put cargo hub on correct side so the traffic goes past it hits loop and comes back.

Indeed. As mikelleh63 oints out, this canno be done without the use of mods. If you however don;t mind using mods, then I advise on using the 'Network Multitool' mod. It has a function to unlock the roads that are in front/part of these stations and harbours. After unlocking them, you can upgrade them to other roads, like the one-way roads you want to use.

Just build a one way road leading to and from the harbor. Since vehicles will not be able to return from where they came from, they will not use the other lane. Railway stations and cargo terminals can be built on any road including one way roads. I do this for export all the time. I build a one way S road leading to the cargo terminal and then make the traffic exit to another road still using one way roads.

This video is an example of what I described.

Use modded stations, much better than the ingame stations anyway.

Trains and Hubs are the only solution to your problem. Relying on the streets for your cargo needs is folly. But Yes I'm sure there are mods that'll fix your issue. When you start making madmonies from Industries you must concede that trains are now your major mode of moving cargo, clogging roads even highways with freight can jack up a lot of stuff especially if you want to focus on tourism.

thanks for your help - completely fogot to answer. sorry.
i found another workaround for that harbour problem. i just modded the harbour building with a one way street and put a normal street as a connection "into" the building. seems to work so far.
