Concerning my issue: turned out normal warehouses work fine, except "any" kind for warehouses set for commercial goods. They all started jumping in storage height, up and down, ever since todays update.
That's an excellent question indeed. First I thought the warehouses work like a combined warehouse + cargo train station. So I placed one near my generic industry and one near my commercial zone, expecting trucks from the industry deliver goods to their train-warehouse, trains moving to the commercial-warehouse and so on... but: nothing happened. I played around with it for a few hours, trying to use different setups in combination with or without vanilla cargo train stations, but in the end, I couldn't get those train-warehouses to work at all.
At the end of the day, I went back to normal train stations and a normal warehouse next to it and that works fine - except now we all have the trucks-get-stuck-bug... 🙈
