Cargo Rail Station vs Warehouse

So, as per the dev blog, we're getting a train-enabled warehouse. Two unanswered questions.

1. What functionality will it have? Will it function as a normal train station, or is it only a warehouse that can send its selected goods type by rail?
   
2. Is the rail track single-ended or double-ended? Would we have to go with a Y intersection?

Who knows? No point in guessing till it gets here. Typically train stations and warehouses provide the same basic service with the only difference being the mode of transportation available. Likely work much like the train ship harbor hubs only they don't currently work all that well after devs went and forked up the coding around them.

Well that's not really fare to the Dev's is it? May not be only the harbor hubs but the train stations and some of the industries as well.

Cargo rail stations with warehouses sound like barge mod with warehouses that transport only one item. Hope I'm wrong though.
