So, if you get a lot of sickness, then the game will send out only two ambulances per building that is nearby. But it will probably be worse and you will have dozens of sick people at once.
so it will call ambulances across the city as sick cims want an ambulance now. not wait for your nearby service to spawn an other ambulance, it will send the nearest ambulance from the nearest station with a free vehicle available.
Luckily the game doesn't have a random sickness mechanic.
Sickness comes from pollution in your residential areas, or in your water supply.
Good news, if you keep pollution out of residential areas, your cims will never get sick.
You can setup transfer settings for that building, and then additionally apply it to all such types in the district, map, etc. The mod also enhances the algorithms behind the transfers, which seems to help.
