Linux Mint Issue?

I just changed my OS from Win 10 to Linux Mint. I tried running the game after installing again and it fails to load. Is there something I'm missing after the install from Steam to get the game up and running?

Check the software manager, are you using the Steam launcher that is in the default Mint repositories, or the one that is on Flathub? I would recommend sticking the default Mint repositories.

It may also have something to do with your Firewall, I remember having that issue back a few years ago. Check your Firewall and make sure that the Steam client is an approved application. Also, make sure that you are not opted in to the beta program in the Steam settings.

Thanks for the reply... I figured out that I needed to go to the properties settings for the game on steam, select compatability, select Force the use of specific Steam Play compatability tool and then choose a tool from the list (I choose Proton 8.0-2). So far, that seems to work. Yay!
