Game won't start
Hello. I have just bought it, but whatever I do, it doesn't work. I try to start the game, but nothing comes up. I've tried reinstalling it, removing and re adding the DLCs, and verifying the files, but nothing.

My other Steam Game works OK, so I'm not sure it can be the Antivirus, but if there is a way to check, please tell me (nothing is coming up on my laptop to say it is).

Any help would be really appreciated. I feel really upset about this.

Thank you.

Make sure all your drivers are up to date then head over to this folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\vcredist

You should see the following folders:
2012\vc_redist.x64.exe
2013\vc_redist.x64.exe
2019\vc_redist.x64.exe
Just make sure to run all of these executable files that are present. (If you’ve different folders, then run the vc_redist.x64.exe file in those folders)
Finally, restart your PC to see if fixes the issue.

Hi. Thanks for that. I looked in the folder you mentioned, but all I can see is a folder marked 2010.

Also, how do I update my drivers?

Download and install all the files listed here, restart your pc when requested then restart your pc after you've installed them all.

Redistributables
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.

Install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012.

Install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2015.

To direct you to the correct links for your drivers i need to know the names and models of your motherboard, audio card and graphic card.

EDIT:
Also before you update your drivers make sure you have no outstanding Windows Updates.
To install the update now, select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

OK, all that is installing. How do I find out the names and models of the motherboard, and audio and graphics cards.

Apologies for the stupid questions. And thank you very much for your help.

Download, install and run this program to get the info we need. If by any chance it doesn't name your motherboard then with your pc unplugged from the mains socket, take the side off and look for the model number visually.

The only stupid question is the one you dont ask.
