Partly because of the Islands which provide lots of transport options, and because I watched Biffa play it.
It works best on 81 tiles, but does however have some rail and road layout issues that bug down traffic some. And you might not notice them until you are very well invested in your city which might be annoying.
Also, the dependents might be out of date.

I don't have any preference so far as the map is nice and work well: I found a lot of potential nice map but with a lot of bug (mostly missing component, but I can't install all the mods of the world)
