Cursor just not showing up.
I load into the game and in the loading screen the cursor appears, but when the game loads it just disappears. I read some other discussions here on this subject and they all said to turn off V-sync, but that had no effect for me. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off all my workshop content even uninstalled the DLC's but to no avail. I recently upgraded to win 11 and wondering wether thats the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'd keep V-sync.
Reset resolution in game> Options> Display Settings.
Load, see if cursor appears. Close game.
Reset res back to where you want it. Reopen, now it should appear in that game.

Nope didn't work. There is one thing I noticed and that's that the cursor appears upon loading the game, then disappears once the game has loaded.

You recently upgraded to Win 11, reinstalled, no mods,
your mouse works everywhere else.

1. In open game, press F3 a few times. See if it appears.
2. Also - ck screen resolution in Options that's supported by your graphics card.
Change resolution to match, see if appears.
(2. really should not matter if you have a higher graphics card, but try it).

Still no mouse appearing in the open game?
> In mouse properties in Windows, update drivers for mouse.
Then under the pointer options tab, tick display pointer trails to on and set to short.
> With steam in desktop mode, go to Settings > Remote Play > Advanced Host Options, then unclick everything, except Use NVFBC capture on Nvidia GPU.
Leave number of software encoding threads on automatic.
Open game.

(See also FPS Mini Booster in mods. Mod also has thread encoding for the cursor also.)

If still -
It's the recent Win 11 update messing up CS games.
Save your important .crp files to your desktop.
> Uninstall not only game, but launcher and also all Steam
files. Check drive to see if all folders are deleted.
> Update Win 11.
> Go back to Steam site. Install Steam, log in.
> Install game. Place back .crp files.
> Open CS.
Open game.

I thought reverting back to win 10 worked. Opened it the first time and it worked fine. then after that it just stopped again.
