So if you were to load another game in the same session, these mods would get loaded twice, causing all kinds of issues.
Algernon has implemented a new feature in his '81 Tiles' mod that prevents players from loading another game when you've allready started one. Simply to avoid issues.
Rule of thumb: When you play modded, always exit the game to desktop before loading or starting another game.
I had Cross the Line but an error popped up saying it wasn't compatible with something and it booted me out of the game.
EDIT: Yeah, the Mod Compatibility Checker said Cross the Line conflicts with 81 Tiles 2. But it seems to work just fine.
Now I just need to find an unlimited outside connection mod. Seems like more and more mods fall to the wayside as the base game keeps getting updated.
Only certain things can be built outside city limits.
If you have 81-tiles, then there is no outside city limits anymore. Only the void that you can't construct in. so I'm unsure why you need to build outside city limits with 81-tiles mod?
Depends on what you are trying to build.
All of my creations used the 81 Tiles mod. So perhaps I've been going about this the wrong way. Give me some advice, boys & girls. Help out an old video gamer.
So if you are using 81 Tile maps and want to build out side the city limits I suggest you look for a different game to play. Afraid CS doesn't offer any thing larger than 81.

Actually, I used the search term in the workshop: outside connection
and a good list was produced.
If you are talking about making connections that extend beyond the outer edge of the 81 tiles you are trying to access an area that has never been available to play. Look around at any map you like and you'll find no-one including the dev's has ever built anything outside the 81 tile boundary. The area that you see outside the 81 tiles is quite simply not a part of the playable map.

Here is a map overlay showing a highway leading OFF THE EDGE OF THE MAP. This is called an OUTSIDE CONNECTION.

I don't know what led anyone to believe that I was trying to build in the void.
Could have been all the comments about building out side the city limits on 81 tile maps. Seems however from your screenshots that your reason for posting has gone away or corrected its self. Congratulations
81 Tiles 2 TESTING
Build outside of owned tiles
Like the 'Cross the Line' mod, this option does what it says, and can be toggled on/off at any time in the options panel. Note that this doesn't change any visibility settings outside owned tiles: e.g. zoning won't be visible, and roads will be displayed in their low-resolution version.

I did not realize that the Cross the Line mod had a toggle. Never stop learning.
