Probably Workshop Collection.

I keep meaning to do this myself. Will be interested in people's replies as I've never done it. Every time I "refresh" my game by removing all assets (I have a bad habit of perusing and subscribing all the time) and starting from scratch I can't find a few assets that I really liked. Having a collection of my favorites would be helpful. Just getting the time to make a collection is a bit challenging since the game calls my name when I sit down at my computer.

create a collection by:

1. go to workshop
2. click on an asset
3. on the right side of the screen click on “see all X collections”
4. again on the right side of the screen click on “Create a Collection”
5. fill in the necessary information. Such as MOD Asset Map etc.
6. The next time, you want to add a mod asset etc., just click on the add to collection button on the description screen.
Hope this helps.

Not sure if you want this generic collection, or a collection for each save game you post on the workshop so it auto subscribes you to the items you need for the saved game.

otherwise, you'll need to share your saved game from the content manager savegame menu. This it will appear in your steam workshop.

If you don't know how to get to Cities: Skylines workshop, just fire up steam and go to your library and select Cities Skylines and scroll down to workshop section and select, "Browse The Workshop" button.

Now you should see, "Your Workshop Files" at the top of the right sidebar.
Hover the cursor over the, "Your Files" text and it will have a dropdown list and just select, "Files you've posted" to get to your workshop page.

Then select your save game you just shared, and it will take you to your game.

then select the, "Add/Remove Required Items" under Owner Controls on the right sidebar, just under the map.

Then go to the, Subscribed Items" tab and it will list your items without searching for them. and just select the items there. Just click on the items you want in the list and they will be added underneath. Just click, "save and continue" when done.

It's much easier and semi-automated.

I'm creating my own collection from all my favorites, which has 737 items. Adding items is painfully slow, one by one. I can't hold shift to select a group. This is extremely tedious.

Am I missing something?

Are you loading them from the collection page? There should be a subscribe all, unsubscribe all button on the collection page you created.

I created my first collection. Now when I try to create a new one, the asset only lists "Add to Collection". It doesn't give me the option of "create a NEW collection". Other people have multiple collections, but I just can't find how to do it.

Okay, let's simplify this.
1. Go to Cities Skylines main screen.
2. Click on the Workshop tab.
3. Below the banner there is Home, Browse, Discussions, About. Hover over Browse and choose Collections to get to the collections menu.
4. Now you can choose Create Collection from the top of the right-hand panel.

The menu is so primitive and annoying that I can't find anything at first! Please also simplify the management of the collection, because it is terrible that you have to click on each individual element and the elements connected to it separately for hours! >:(

Adding one item at the time to your collection of thousands is something that could be changed to "add all", in my humble opinion.
