Can someone explain the After Dark DLC to me

Hi,

I've recently installed the AD DLC and it does seem to have initiated (I have the option for a prison, and specialized commercial/leisure) but it doesn't go dark. Am I missing something? The features seemed to indicate that you manage resources differently at night time, with less power used or more noise in leisure districts. but if it doesn't go dark and I can't see any indication it is night time and not day time how can this be managed?

Sorry if this is a school boy error. i am just confused.

Check your gameplay options in the main menu, there's a "use Day/night cycle" make sure it's enabled.

Ah! A school boy error it is, although to be fair that isn't very obvious. I now find my city going dark at night time. But how long does it stay dark for? Seems to go on for an age and it is hard to build in the dark!

its real time so 24hrs

in game night time is about ten minutes depends on the speed you are playing the game at

I really don't understand i have the game, no DLC no AD, "but i do have the day/night cycle in the options" if that is included in the game already, then what's the point of AfterDark rather than just adding an Intl Airport + Taxi System????

Please Explain.. will it be like im buying the AfterDark just for the Taxi and Intl Airport??

Yes it is AD adds more night life etc .

You get AD for things like bars clubs etc and lot more watch this review mate

Wait, so the day/night feature is already in the game, as in the regular version game??? ( I've got the regular game, no DLCs, not Deluxe either )
then the After Dark just improves the night time? And adds a bunch of feature to the nightlife inside the game? If That is the case, then that seems pretty nice.

But i tried the game before, and i know that the regular game is just purely day forever, and when you got the After Dark, it adds the day/night cycle + the features...
But now it's kinda messed up for me, anyway I just want to clarify if the day/night cycle is already included in the game even tho you don't have the AD?

Day and Night already in the game AD just brings in another level to night life. Its a nice DLC:)
