Can I own Cities Skylines twice...?
I currently have a ton of mods and assets and am currently reaching the limit on them. However I need them all from my current city project. But, I would like to get started on another city, which will need a ton of other assets, which my game currently cant handle. My question is this: Could I buy or share this game with a second steam account so I can download all the assets needed on the city that I work with that account? Dont know is my reasoning behind this is correct, but Im basically thinking that since its two different accounts it creates two folders and the assets wont collide. The game will treat it like its a different computer altogether. Please let me know if this is possible.

Lol... you don't need 2 games or 2 Steam accounts. You just need to manage our content ;)
Make a list of all of the assets you use per city. Then load up just those before you load each city.
Alternatively, you could move all assets out of the content folder and store them in another directory. Then you could subscribe to just the assets you need and/or move back in just the assets you need from your relocated folders.
That... seems like a lot work than just switching between two accounts for a city. If there's no other way I'll be sure to try your method.
Isnt there mod for this? Mods folder to each city? I think I saw it!
Grapple's alternative sounds like the best option unless you'd rather pay for the game twice just to start another city (LOL)...

It would be great if assets didn't choke this game so much though.
Another option is to create a separate Steam account. Share your library with "family". Then log onto your library from your secondary Steam account and play to your hearts content. Switch between Steam logins for the different games. I haven't tried this but I would think you could subscribe to different assets/mods than your main Steam account.
Well, I tested sharing the game with a second account and it worked. I can have a completely separate assets list for a city in my second account. So anyone who wants to try that can go ahead and do it.
