Random map gen impossible?
hello. there seems to be a big demand for random map generators. Why does it not exist yet? Is there a random map mod?

Is there a new map gen? I do not want to create a map myself. I want the programm do it with trees, water... I was possible to do that in sc 2000 ages ago...
There is still no map generator. Maybe you just like to stay with sc2000. 😂

It would have to generate train tracks and highways too as well as ship routes. Not to mention properly flowing rivers. It'd probably be extremely difficult, if even possible, to make a program to spawn all of those things and have them function well. SC2000 was very simple, basically just some land and water.

No it woudn't have to include highways & ship routes. They could be added in by the play afterwards.

The game... kind of doesn't work if they don't exist to start with. No one can enter the city.
Also, remember, without other mods, the city takes up a max of 9 tiles out of 81, and when the game Starts only the central (usually) tile is available to the player. This is kind of important.

I think they mean that the game could generated a map in the editor and then a player could finish it by adding the highway connections and stuff.
