Mouse Wheel Zooming Problem
Hi all,

My Windows 10 updated yesterday, and today when trying to play Skylines, my mouse-wheel zoom isn't functioning properly any more. Now, scrolling one notch up or down zooms either all the way in or all the way out. I no longer have fine control (or any control, for that matter) for zoom level using the mouse wheel. I've gone and installed the latest SetPoint software for my mouse (Logitech M510), and reset the game configuration to default, but nothing I try is fixing the issue. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix or workaround?

Thanks.

I seem to have just fixed it, or at least worked around it, at least for my Logitech M510. I started up SetPoint, enabled Game Detection, then in Advanced Settings, I clicked "Enable application specific button settings". Then I clicked the "Configure" button, and added the Cities Skylines executable (cities.exe). I did not customize any buttons or settings, I just added the .exe. When I went back into the game, the scrolling worked normally again. I don't know if this will keep it fixed or not, but for now at least, it is working properly again. I don't know if there's anything similar for other brands of mice, but at least for my Logitech, it is working now (or, at least for now lol.) Good luck!

For me it was the Discord Overlay, disabling it for this game resolved the issue.

Same problem fixed with disabling Discord Overlay.

maybe 2 years ago with this problem, nothing works but someone finally help me.
"So, I've just had this problem but managed to solve it, let me know if it works for you guys.
Shut down the game
go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines , this is were settings, add-ons, saves etc. are stored
I deleted the whole folder but in theory you should only need to delete gameSettings.cgs (back up saves if you delete the lot :( )
restart and play skylines
Good luck!"

Logitech released a patch for this I think last week. It’s happening with a lot of fleet vehicle management programs and I have a connection to the one where I work. Did the update and haven’t had a problem since. I heard about the deleting gameSettings.cgs option but that’ll only fix it for a few days. If you’re using Logitech Options to manage the connection with your mouse go there and check for updates, it should come up with one.
