I see a few other people are having game issues. I fear this every time I reboot the laptop and have to reimput mu Steam password... I appear to have been bitten this time.

Loading the game froze on startup three times taking over 20 minutes each, so I tried loading an older, less developed map, the load zoomed through then click click click click from chirpy and the map is a gray blue and all my district names are pig piled into a big blob into the center.

Do we know yet which asset or MOD is doing this? I have not installed any new mods for some time, but admittedly use several, which have not given me any issues until today so I don't even know yet if that is what is causing the issues.

Any and all help narrowing the problem down would be stellar. I await any info.

Isn't that a mod missing error? The blob is usually missing mold as well. There are many mods that cause this. I think even multi-functional assets can cause it as well.

Maybe list all your mods and maybe assets.

ouput_log.txt would be useful.

Have you tried the -noWorkshop launch flag as well?

post the details on the error. It says no details, but click on the copy details button and paste them will show some data.

I did try the copy button but got what I posted above for the title of this post.

I unsubbed and removed the unique building RICO assets I had added yesterday. The game is running now.

It ws only about a dozen buildings and I am unsure which one may or may not have caused the issue, but it appears to be resolved

The RICO assets need a RICO mod, if I recall correctly. People have a lot of issues with them. Best to check with the RICO mod author. It's not really a mod, but a standardization file used to create assets from what I could tell. but a lot of people complain about them breaking the game all of the time.

I currently have about a dozen different ones running...

I have an issue with unique buikldings not populating in my menues, unique and RICO alike... I would love to plop down a few Toyota car dealerships for example, and they were in the list last week, but have disappeared... an Old Navy? Sorry, disappeared... yet still activated asset in the game content folders.

Try using the Loading Screen Mod [BETA]. I recently found this and it is awesome! Read instructions.

The loading screen mod can detect system null reference exceptions before a save is fully loaded. However, the game no longer responds and must be quit forcefully using the task manager is this situation.

Okay, so I am getting quite a few assets in red on this MOD startup. Solution to fix these?

If you turn on loading mod option create index and then go thru the not loadet or not foung things try to search for the assets by the number in the workshop. I have also some Red assets but it doesn't matter and my search on workshop wasn't complete sucessfull, because some are taken away from workshop. Some I found i didn't subscribed it because the creator of the asset forgot to link the missing part to his asset. This mod make it possible to search for the missing parts.

I have the same problem. Here's the log: http://www.filedropper.com/outputlog
Can someone look at this? Thanks!

@michal.ledwon The solution I found was simply to write down the names of the red failed assets and either unsubscribe from them or make sure I had the up to date version... or make sure they were actually installed from a missing created asset. It took time but I got that 162 down to 46

Red ones or the orange ones?

I doubt if the person you quote is still watching this thread as its over a year old, maybe start your own thread with details of your problem.

Red. Red is failed. Orange is a RAM conflict... at least that is my understanding of it. Try the "loading screen" mod
