That looks nice. It seems all highway and much smoother flowing than my cheesy all highway clover. But it looks enormous. May have a few more issues ploping it in rough terrain.
I'll have to test it out. subscribed!
lol, I thought the opposite true. I find roundabouts clog up easy from many intersections on one small wheel. I use highway roundabouts only, and it still does it.
In the end, the basic cheesy roads in the game work fine once the area matures. These fancy workarounds are only needed in freshly created zones. Once they've matured you can replace them with simple roads.
no left turns are possible and they are always one-way otherwise they wouldn't work.
but they don't seem to work with heavy traffic as the impedance catches up eventually. but they are better than stop signs or traffic lights and they make you stop and wait and then backups get worse.
That's why I just extend highways through my city with lots of exits.
But roundabouts are perfect for light traffic as you don't need to stop. They are good for gas mileage and travel time as well.

Funny enough, I finished uploading this today :D Most of the important stuff is in the description. On personal note, I think it looks the best, especially when it's active.
I've noticed that for some reason traffic tends to all run in the 'slow' lane to the point of jamming before spreading to the other lanes, so traffic joining into that jammed lane causes even more issues.
What I've found is that, without lane management mods, for maximum efficiency it's actually best to have traffic joining and leaving a highway from/to what we think of as the 'fast' lane.
Try this for a T Junction: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=650400376
This for an off-ramp: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=650400072
Or this for a cross intersection of 2 highways: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=666227522
I have several others that may be of use, please check out my Workshop page: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198025645634/myworkshopfiles
you use them when all incoming roads see about equal amounts of traffic (can't recall how to explain why that is the case, but it is.), and the more traffic goes through them at a time the bigger the circle must be.
mods allowing finer control over lanes and road types let you set up some fun things to make them even better, too. spirals.
