I have been able to get 6 tiles unlocked with my HD 4600 graphics. I have an i3-4370 (3.8GHz) and 16 GB RAM. I am still playing on it, and I have my graphics at 1280 x 720; all low or off graphics settings, except shadows on low, instead of off. I may need to turn it off soon.
Which i5 do you have and how much ram do you have?
I do not use workshop items as they slow you down.
Your mileage may vary.
1. Graphics card, on the store site they have recommendations on what to use, and minimal requirements.
2. RAM space, vanilla game runs fine with 8gigs, but if you want a crap ton of assets n mods (like me, I have nearly 2200 total) I recommend at least 16 gigs, that's what I use, and I tend to have a spike from time to time.
With all this in mind, I, like keenanmaji, would like to know the i5 specifications. I have i7 something something and it works lik ean angel. But then again, I has a desktop, and I have little experience with laptop gaming. But all in all you're out to pretty bad start. There's nothing wrong with i5 processors, they tend to be good, but the graphics, meh, UPGRADE. Before you tell me the processor specs and RAM, I can't help anything but to recommend graphics cards.
Personally I have an MSI GTX 660 Ti with twin frozr and overclock ability. It's not the best out there but when OC'd it gets the job done good. This performance may vary due to motherboard type (I would like to know that too.) But if you really want good game get Nvidia. They goo.
Until further details, wait with your purchase!
EDIT: Checked the requirements for the game, and sorry, Intel graphics are not supported. But please come with more details.
