Destruction of cities. I wonder why
I can not understand why these people want to disasters in this game.
This is a game to build, manage and make living many years as we go making changes and improvements.

Now tell me why destroy what took many hours to plan?

There are many more and better improvements to be made, than load the game with something that in my view not brings any benefits to the game.

But almost every day appear game reviews only to ask the destruction of their cities.

This game is not the Sim City :steamsad:

It is a construction game, no destruction

I don't know why

The cosmological answer: The universe is entropy and decay by default. Construction is only a temporary channeling and delaying of destruction into an illusory stability. Adding some destruction beyond your control provides a purpose and exigency to our futile efforts to bring order to this world. Realism.

The other answer: At a certain point minor tweaking can get a bit tedious for some people, and the random disasters of Sim City enabled a somewhat meaningful sense of unexpectedness and emergency to mix things up and feel less godlike. Lack of total control equals challenge which equals fun for some people.

A decent simcity game hasn't come out since 2004. City Skylines is what the next SimCity could/should of been and honestly is to me. Disasters would add a nice game element to keep things from getting stale.

People have the right to ask anything. When yiou play lego, you destroy it after that. Its the same.

I want earthquake, cyclone.

Some people need alien abduction, now this is weird...

For those who like to build seriously, this game is far from being outdated.

If that ever happens is they do not know more or this game is not for them, and just see several buildings here on Steam that will not move from small villages or small towns, which soon collapse.

At this point we can already make giant cities and leave the pumping an entire day without touching it, it grows and manages by itself. Doing this is impossible a game these get bored or no interest.

I like doing big cities but also small towns and rural areas but large cities give more pleasure and always something to do and improve.

But no doubt that this is a game that you can do a little of everything.

"Disasters would add a nice game element to keep?" .... Yes, for some could be

I play the game to be creative. There are hundreds of violent destructive themed games available. Disasters including meteor strikes, alien invasion, giant lizards, zombies or llamas hold no appeal for me. I can see the logic of tsunami's floods, landslides and earthquakes- natural disasters- these are real world scenarios that cities/mayors have to deal with all too regularly.

I want the challenege. I enjoy the randomness and unexpected event of a natural disaster to keep me on my toes, make me re-work a city to maximize my citie's layout and optimize my emergency services.

Hell, it could just be a toggle option so those that don't want it don't have to use it. Everyone wins in that instance.
