81 tiles?

I have just (in the last few days) been getting this message when saving a game:

"The Load Gam button has been disabled by the 81 Tiles mod to protect your save file from corruption. Use the Quit Game button and completely relaunch the game before loading any save file or starting a new game."

I have the Beta version of 81 Tiles, should I revert to the original (if it is available)?

No you shouldn't. If you use mods it is never wise to load a game after you've allready loaded or started a new a game before that.

This is because when you use mods, these get loaded into the game's code, but do not get unloaded when stopping your current session/game without exiting to the desktop. This means that when you've started/loaded a game, and then load or start another game in the same session, some (or all) mods get loaded twice, causing all kinds of issues.
Rule of thumb is to exit to desktop when you want to load or start a new game.

Any option that prevents players that use mods to load a second game in one session has never been implemented into any mod before, but Algernon has coded some safeties into his 81 Tiles mod to prevent gamres from doing this. So don't worry about these messages, just follow them.

Ps; It's also not possible to get into the Editor with this mod active/subscribed.

“ DO NOT SECOND-LOAD USING THIS OR ANY OTHER MOD. ALWAYS EXIT TO DESKTOP BETWEEN LOADS.
This mod will intentionally disable the 'load game' and 'return to main menu' buttons when in-game to protect your save from second-loading. Second-loading with mods (not just this one!) can corrupt your save. See the basic guide to using mods.“

If you’re going to use any mod, always read the description. If you see something peculiar, go back through your mods and see if there are any updated features that you should be aware of.

I've also restarted the computer before loading a game. Must be something else I have done or added. Thank you all for the replies!

Be sure to read and properly apply the Options for the 81 Tile mod before you start a game game. Then reset the options at the beginning of each game. Also make sure you have disabled any 25 tile mods lie Purchase It.

That said There's really no point in playing 81 tile maps at the moment as the hard wired in-game limits prevent players from taking full advantage of the extra tiles.
