Make a canal from another water source or make the lake deeper using terraforming tools.
Well, first every water source has a spawner (beside sea) and like IRL at some point if you suck more than it produce it'll run dry...
In this case, vanilla solution is, as already suggested, water towers.
Now for the bigger cities, solutions are often found on assets that are a mix of water treatements that give you back as well 100% clean water. And probably assets water towers that gives you far more water than the small vanilla ones
So up to you, but I would go take a look at the workshop, and search for water treatements assets, and please read description of each, as some may, like water towers, need clean ground to not pollute your water system...
or oil resources. It counts as pollution.
