Game not running

When I try to startup cities skylines a message comes up saying “game already running” , but it’s not. I’ve tried some of the fixes but none work, nah help

I've had that happen a few times in the last few days. Haven't changed anything on my end since airplanes update so have to assume it's on CS end. For me I have to go to task bar and pull up Library page and stop play. It then brings up a confirm window and closes main menu or may well be from choosing NOT to save to desktop to do a workshop search.

Do you see the Paradox Launcher after pressing Play in Steam?

No nothing when I press play in steam on the left side it reads running but cities doesn’t open launch

It’s been 2 weeks for me, is there any solution to this issue.

Same thing here. Uninstalled and reinstalled still not working

Please try a clean install the launcher following the steps in this post.

Did a clean install of the launcher following the steps linked to above help at all? Or does the launcher still not appear for you?

I came across those steps tried them, and because my laptop I only used for cities I even did a complete reset and still doesn’t work.

In that case I think you will have to temporarily bypass the launcher. There's a link to the steps and the file used to do that. If that doesn't do the trick or you have problems with the process, don't hesitate to ask. :)
