Need help

so bought a new computer, loaded cities on to it and manged to work first time round, loading in etc. however when i restarted the pc, the game would load up, just said it was running from steam, but nothing else. all the mod/assets that i was subscribed to were still there.
Any suggestions to what I could do?

So after the restart the launcher works and not loading into game? Not quite clear the symptom you're describing. Please explain.

So I'll close the game , turn off pc. when i turn it back on again, the game won't open up, not even the launch page comes up.

Might want to try launching the game without launcher. I used to bypass the launcher, but i don't anymore for lazy man reasons. You'd have to look it up, but I believe there is more than 1 way to do so. I've read of people having launcher issues that would do what you described, but outside of bypassing the launcher I have no suggestions.

Sounds to me like a program is blocking the connection.
Can you start the game in Steam in Off-Line_Mode; that would tell me it is being blocked going out of you computer like a firewall needs to give access.

Sounds like the Paradox Launcher isn't appearing for you after the restart. Try a clean install of it following the steps in this post: https://steamcommunity.com/app/255710/discussions/0/1742265315844206043/

If it keeps happening follow the steps in this post to temporarily bypass the launcher:
