Impossible to have a cargo AND passenger airport?

When creating the terminals it creates two separate airport areas. You can try to connect them but there always remains one small node and no way to merge them. The cargo airport alone never gains any stars because it never sees passengers. I am mind blown here, I really have no idea what to do other than just refund the Airports dlc. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you can get a refund that's probably the best thing you could do. I use workshop assets to build 40 terminal passenger literally with in stones through of cargo air and both work great. I have Cargo and passenger planes both landing on same runway and still going to correct terminals. DLC offers nothing of value.

I'm not sure what you mean by mixed airports? or Default assets. Maybe post exactly what you are doing and with which buildings and zones.

I may be wrong but I assume "mixed" means using same runways and or taxiways.

l tried to add the cargo part because of this post and for proof of concept ; had to build some industry first to generate demand - import / export

I can understand that... I just haven't had a chance to talk to anyone you has seemed to get the DLC to work. You seem to have it under control so I was wondering if you thought it was fixed or at least as fixed as it's apt to get?

I've had no major issues with the airports dlc, other than normal overload and then the game gimps it. Just like other parts of the game. single lane backups, partial train, ship, and air loads, etc.

What were the issues the DLC cargo had or still has ? Could you name them ?

No I couldn't name them, as I never purchased the DLC I guess I could go back through the comments and make a list if you really need it. Coarse there's the one that started this thread and got me to asking. But if you need more I'll have to get back to you.

Yes, looks similar to my own. But are they actually connected as the same airport or separate?
