Upgrade to pedestrain road problem!

I'm trying the new pedestrain area and road in the new DLC, and converting part of my city to pedestrain area. Most of the roads can be upgraded to the pedestrain road, and looks nice, but a segment as show in the screenshot can not, is it a bug or something?

The hint message is "These types of roads can not be connected".

If that's due to one of the connections being elevated, then this is genuinely weird and probably not a feature by design: we know for sure the pedestrian roads have elevated versions... I haven't encountered such restrictions yet.

Is there any way to fix this, its really ugly leaving a different kind road segment.

use a different road and instead of upgrading delete the road and draw your pedestrian road

You cannot join an elevated pedestrian road to a regular road or vice versa. Been confirmed on the official forum.
