Have you seen this asset: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=871284587 It requires flat land indeed, but works well when placed under the large buildings.
It just doesn't work for me. I have tried with this

and this
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1385628544
individually, but to no avail. In each case I have placed 10 instances on top of each other and waited for more than only 1 car (first asset) or 3 cars (second asset) to park. No luck. And the invisible parking marker that comes with the game, doesn't work at all. I would assume that this can only be used in the asset manager but not be plopped manually with find it.
In your example, though, you have plopped the parking spots not directly on top of each other. If they are plopped at a reasonable distance or angle from each other, then cars will indeed crash into each other. Still, you will not be able to have 50-ish parking spaces in just a single grid cell.

@WhiteKnight77: thanks, I've seen them and also subscribed a long time ago, but never used them. The footprint is immense, they only work on completely flat terrain (as so mentioned in the description) and in my case create distortions at the road connection. Besides, this is a commercial car park rather than an underground car park under residential blocks and nothing can be placed on top of it. As I said, I'm looking for a solution with minimal footprint, and if I were to use any of these workshop assets, I could just built it myself. But thanks for the suggestions anyway.
