Mods and Assest Problems in Cities: Skyline played on Cloud Gaming Service
Hey guys!

I'm new here. I just bought the base game 2 days ago. I've subscribed a bunch of mods and assets.
Since my device is under the minimum requirement, so I play this game on Cloud via Geforce Now.
However, the mods and the assets I subscribed and turned on, they don't appear in the game.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I've synced the game on the Steam with the cloud service many times but it won't work.

...... There's a video that someone did.. but basically... login.. but don't launch the game..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1VygsaCniI

Instead do:

- Steam , Change account... It logs you out ,, just log back in again.
then you select city skylines, click on community hub...
Then workshop...
Search for 'flags' ... subscribe to a flag .. and then unsubscribe...
It'll then start to download all your subscribed mods, and assets
you see it change in the downloads bit ..

when finished... Launch the game..
and that's it ...

Wow, you have my gratitude! 🤯 I'm gonna try this once I've come home from work.

Cool - hope it worked ok - remember to do it each time you want to play the game.

Also when it loads (after the CO splash screen), go to 'Options' to enable the mods etc... but those enabled mods will stick as enabled each time you do the above.

The workaround has some quirks e.g. it never saves any positioning / settings that the you might set etc... But apart from that it saves having to have an energy hungry machine to play games on.... I launch geforce now skylines via a cheap chromebook and it works really well.

I tried this trick, but my GeForce Now for some reason will ask me to load the game in 10 minutes => otherwise it'll kick me out. Cant seem to figure out a way to deter this, or download 8gbs of mods and assets within 10 mins either.

could the whole 10 min thing specific to my region (Singapore)? Or do you guys have this as well

Wow 8GB ... I've only got 1GB and sure it takes a short amount of time.Peek thruput is sometimes 10MB/sec download.

I don't know why Geforce Now ppl don't keep their G: drive topped up with new latest mods, they only have 6 by default.

Thanks! It worked. But since I need to do it everytime I play. Now, I'm starting playing this directly on laptop with less mods and assets. XD

I thought this discussion was erased or something else because I couldn't find it
