That should be plenty to get you through the 9-tiles of the default city size. Plus room for a little bit of workshop if you want it.

Decent specs for comfortable gameplay at 1080p. I'd recommend the Lenovo Legion Y520
(Part Number: 80YY0060US from their website, $1,199.99). The ROG GL503VM is just outperformed by everything else in its class.

By the way, check out Acer Helios 300 for $1,049 on Amazon ( http://a.co/8cMWzFE ). It's cheaper and overall better than the Lenovo, just a bit more heavy and with less storage, but it's upgradable.

To be honest, when it comes to buying gaming desktop or laptop PC, I would buy it directly from the vendor who makes it, not from Amazon due to warranty and support purpose. If you buy the game from the vendor directly, they most likely offer you some kind of support plan for your PC. It is worth noting to do your research first before you buy it. Pricewise, if you are worried more about price than features or benefits, then you can go and buy one from Amazon, but I wouldn't say that would be the most "safest" way.

If you do buy it from the vendor directly, expect some delay because all, if not, most PC are made overseas, so delivery would most likely be delayed even if you choose "expedited delivery method" when you are making checkout for the PC.

Don't buy the cheapest laptops. They always have poor cooling. Then the laptop throttles down speeds to cool itself off.

MSI have really good gaming laptops that have two separate coolers. One for CPU and one for GPU. It is well worth the small extra for less headaches.

Just google the full model number and look for youtube videos of disassembly or part replacements to see the heatsinks. Usually they have two large exhaust ports on the rear of the laptop.

I just looked up both the Lenovo and the Asus and the Asus has way better cooling. It has two coolers while the Lenovo has one larger cooler with two fans. The Asus is much better.

I like Lenovo support better than Asus, but I like Asus updates much better than Lenovo. I think the updates are more important. Parts usually don't break, but your drivers. apps, BIOS updates are very important to have fully working. This is why Asus is probably the best in general.

When I was looking around I seen they have finally released the 6-core intel laptops. They don't look like gaming laptops, but more like ultrabooks and very thin. Complaints of high fan speeds and low battery life which I would expect as they all have GTX 1070 installed. Seems crazy to me to have a 6-core and 1070 in a slim design. That just screams issues!

Here's a decent article on the ones being released now. $1,800 to $2,200 that I can tell so far.

I'm a owner of an Asus ROG gl553vd (same specs of yours except Nvidia 1050) . It has a poor cooling system and I've to turn off turbo during gaming session of CS due the High temperature (about 75-80 Celsius). It's a Shame!!! Of course game is flaweless as well without turbo and with about 500 assets and high video settings (and frame rate locked to 30fps), but when cities reach 100k or more everything slows down a bit. Be prepared to spend twice as a desktop if you are searching same Power and same system stability and safety. If I could go back I would choose a higher end laptop. Don't save money if you can and get to the top.

I agree. MSI gets constant best laptop ratings, why? because of their great cooling systems. They aren't cheap though.

Be sure you google laptops before buying them. There are a lot of people who test these things so you should find plenty of reviews and disassembly videos.

I found this laptop:
Notebook Schenker XMG APEX 15 (Made in Germany)
Intel Core™ i7-8700 6x 3.20 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 6.0 GB
16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 1.0 TB HDD
€ 1700,00
ps: with the possibility to increase the RAM up to 32 GB
Any experience out there with this brand?
Definitely by far the best deal with those specs
