Try using Move It mod to adjust the tracks.
I believe the RAILWAY2 assets by REVO give the best results, but using them has a bit of a learning curve to them.
This is about the best you can get using Vanilla tracks, but as you can see, the 'sleepers' are not visible on junctions. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2798173475
nodeless tracks don't distort when joining.
drawback: the node becomes "direct connect" ... in the last big railyard I build I used nodless tracks everywhere ... including in the cargo station... later I wondered why trains could not turn around in the station.
my nodeless tracks removed the crossover nodes that usually are at both ends of stations essentially turning my cargo station into 2 one way stations.
a trick for decorative tracks like in railyards:
don't connect them, only connect the tracks needed for game functions.
it's way easier to make it look good if you build them a bit short and them move the last node with move it so it overlaps the other track.
80% of tracks in that picture are just for show and not connected, there is a working cargo station in there.
