Water Population Sickness Problem
I can't seem to fix the water population sickness. Here is a screenshot of my water processing setup for the city. Any input would be appreciated. https://i2.paste.pics/a00d7ca51bf0dcf1b8b61efe6ac9daa0.png

freshwater intake and sewage to close together, you are suckinh the sewage upstream.

also looks like way to many pumps for a small river, it might run dry... anf refill with sewage.

seperate fresheater and sewage... at best use 2 different bodies of water

It looks like your water pumps are too close to your sewage. And there are so many. move them a half tile away.

Your citizens are drinking dooky water..... Remove 2 intakes and 1 output where they are close together... should fix it.

apart from the above mentioned:
you also have one water pump downstream of your sewage drains.
I put a red arrow pointing at it. https://imgur.com/4UOUeVk

I agree with everyone here. You have too many water intakes next to water outlets along with the one downstream of the water outlets. You are sucking up sewage into your water network.

+1
Yeah the one to the far right, shut that one off for sure. Under the N in DRAIN pipes

I think all pumps to the right of the dam should be placed on the other side of the dam.

Be careful, you may run the dam dry, or at least lose power completely. lol

But I would be moving them way upstream and spread out, or my favorite, just turn the water pumps into water towers and you won't have to worry about water flow at all.

Thanks for all the input. I moved the pumping stations further up stream as suggested but it wasn't working. I then moved the pumping stations to an area that was facing the ocean (away from the river system) and it worked. Here is a screenshot of what I mean. https://i2.paste.pics/9ae739caf148e64d4187aaf0a78dac6f.png

Nice, that should work out just fine

That yellow area at the corner looks like water pollution. It may creep back up into the water supply. If so, it would be easy enough to convert them to water towers and place them on land in that area, Then there won't be any risk of water contamination from the sea.

If you click on your pollution overlay from the info "views menu". it will show any pollution by turning your pumps and pipes brown in affected areas, so you will know where to deal with them.

You mean the area next to the beach? That's just the extension of the beach texture beyond the water line.

Given how that dam looks, I'd be a bit surprised if it were producing much of any power in the first place.

I have the same problem, but tried the above (I already had the exit down river and uptake upriver and wide apart). Now using watertowers, but they keep on getting polluted water and my population is decimating with it...what else could it be?

If you're having issues with polluted drinking water when using water towers, then at least one of your water towers is likely on polluted ground. Do not place water towers near industry, waste processing facilities, or other polluting structures and you shouldn't have issues.

Removed one possible watertower, but it didn't do the trick. The other watertowers are far from industrial areas right now. The average drinking water pollution is 20%, but can't find a source yet of the waterpollution anywhere...which is pretty frustrating.
