Now on PC i play on 81tiles with ~50Mods (incl. unlimited money) and ~2.500 assets.
I cut so much (boring stuff) out of 'the game' as it is already so taking away the need to watch money early on just removes one of the remaining challenges. Once established I then like to watch it grow .. and grow .. and grow.
One day, Rodney, we'll be billionaires!
For me starting to build a city with unlimited money is every bit as unrealistic as starting out with 75,000. For that reason and those above I prefer to start with the more realistic amount of 21,000,000.
250k ? Have you visited a lumber yard lately? Depending on what part of the country you're talking about. 250k - A house maybe, but only one. A city? Dream on.
I have a few DLCs but no workshop mods to make anything easier (mostly due to limited computer resources). I still manage to create some decent-looking cities though.
It's really not difficult to make money especially with Parklife and Industries, however, keeping traffic freely flowing is really the crux of CS.
I build and landscape a LOT! I like just building huge cities with massive transport options, but I also like building lots of small towns and villages....
With no unlocks, I can will have to build slowly and mature my city quickly, as I won't be able to expand fast. With starting a new city, you get basically zero education and it takes so long to graduate your first citizens past 50% (around 10k or so) before you have a good seeded and viable city to build around.
Plus I like going through the unlocks. I was hoping they would add more. But, I guess there is enough already.
When I am looking for building for financial and other challenges I play Tropico 1/4/6.
Of course, I have watched Spiffin Brit enough to know even Tic-Tac-Toe, he would find a way to earn a fortune. :)
