The game has a built in theme editor.
Using this you can change the texture for anything used in game. So, with the aid of an image editor you can create your own textures or grab them from the internet, and then substitute the default textures with those of your own.

Create your theme and then load your game map with that theme and the textures that work best for you will be used in place of the default.
