Only one lane used
Hi,
Here is my issue : I have a one way street with two lanes which is a way out of my city. But all the vehicules use only the left lane but not the right one.
See here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pf-OyXYgKJjRcEKDA1bU3va174FJZW0K/view?usp=sharing
Is there a way to solve this ?
Thank you for your answers !

They have to go left to get to their destination , so why should they use the right lane ?

They almost all go straight towards the highway. So they could use both lanes.

If I'm not wrong, Cities will send cars to the side of roads, streets, etc. where the length of a destination is the shortest - not where you want them.

Change the 3 lane to the highway into 2 lanes and the 2 lanes before this part into 3 lanes

I think I get it : once one the highway they all take the left ramp access...

They will, if you activate 'Dynamic Lane Selection' in the TM:PE options menu. (Set it to 50%)

With this option enabled, traffic will use multiple lanes that lead into the same direction, and only use the ONE lane at the very last moment (last node).

This option askes a lot from your computer, so make sure it can handle it. I would also set the 'Simulation Accuracy' to medium at least. (also in the TM:PE options menu)

Yup . lf you do the changes l suggested above you will get a seperated left one going to the industry and 2 lanes going straight to the highway . lf they all use the left ramp they sort to the left lane of course but they will do it after the last intersection

The ones I mentioned gives traffic a more realistic feel. But BucketBrain's advise is best to solve the issue.

One option that makes things easier, is if you allow busses to ignore lane arrows.

@MaxFX
Why do you suggest to set 'Dynamic Lane Selection' to 50 % ? Why not 100 %

Got that from the TM:PE's manual page. It says this about it:
Consider enabling DLS for only a small percentage of vehicles (e.g. 50%) since it tends to favor egoistic behavior which in turn may lead to more traffic jams.

I always set it to 50%, and it works and looks fine.

Really? I've run it at 75% all the time. Never have any troubles. But I'll set it to 50% and see if I see any different.
