Problem with district styles
I'm having an issue where I want to start playing with different district styles, but sometimes the styles I downloaded won't build certain buildings.

Like, I have a style for residential, but because it doesn't have commercial assets, it won't load commercial buildings.

Is there a way to force it to allow standard buildings, while not having to mix and match styles?

Allowing buildings not in any style always creates this random mix of buildings and it looks terrible.

Like, is there a way to know which styles have assets for all district zones without having to allow for a mix, other than separating my districts? Cause I'm trying to mix commercial and residential like biffa and city planner say. But when I do that, some styles won't allow buildings to build despite high demand.

If any of that makes sense.

If you check where you can select a district style you can as well allow other building styles as well --> tick it :)

Oh, yeah you need this mod :)

I have that mod. My issue isn't being able to select specific styles. It's that sometimes they don't have assets for all types of zones. ANd I can't figure out which ones wrk and don't for what I want.

I frequently run into an issue where zones won't build because there's missing assets from the style, I think.

For example, I have a zone set as Organic commercial and self sufficient residential, and nothing is building. No matter what style i picked in the themes mod, and even when I turned it off, nothing is building, despite having moderate demand for res and com.

Once I removed district specializations, things started building finally.

you might have to post a save game.
For the organic and that stuff I think you need the green DLC, do you have that?
As I mentioned the other option is if you look on picture 1, tick allow buildings which are not in any theme so there can be still built.

One issue is that for some themes you need to download buildings as they are not included in the base game.

Surely common sense answers this query

I have all the DLC.

I have subscribed to all the styles, but when the game loads it still says there are missing assets.

And thanks oldhip, that really helped and solved everything.

The biggest problem I'm running into is subscribing to the assets and downloading them all doesn't seem to work very well. And it usually just locks my computer up.

How much memory has your system got?

16 GB

If you have several DLCs as well the extra load may be adding to the memory side. It depends on whether it’s just the game or the whole system freezing - if it’s the game leave it for a bit for Steam to handle the subscription request.

The game runs fine. This is when subscribing to all my assets in the content manager. Sometimes I have to subscribe to them two or three times. Because the styles are greyed out, then they aren't.

Most of the time, I pay the game on one monitor, while I have netflix on the other.

The Content Manager can do weird things sometimes but when the subscribe button is used Steam normally handles it in the background

I am aware of that. But currently, steam has been "Starting download" for about 10 minutes, and there is zero internet activity according to steam.
