oil industry, full oil tanks , but wont deliver to processing buildings
Hello,

I have a problem with industries - oil. I have extractors right next to my production area for oil. Oil tanks right next to the processing buildings. These oil tanks are full and they use all their trucks to export. It is set to balance. However, all my processing buildings are empty and no one delivers to them. I have already deleted all the factories and replaced them. This helped the first time around, but not this time.

Can someone please help me?

OK First thing to look at is Industrial facilities do NOT communicate with each other. They send out notice of ability to ship or ability to receive goods. The AI then sorts, matches and processes these notices and arranges the transfer.
Second, When you say "These oil tanks are full and they use all their trucks to export". That tells me that you have Plenty of extractors and storage. And if indeed ALL the trucks are busy exporting that says you are overproducing which only means your producing more than you city requires locally. I know it doesn't make good sense at first but the way to correct this is to reduce the number of extractors. Fewer extractors, less products, fewer exports, more trucks available for local deliveries type of thing.
Of coarse there are other things that can effect the flow of goods as well. Your supply chain should go, Raw material ground resources, extractors, processors, factories, retail, with storage facilities acting as buffers between each link of the chain. The one exception being that I usually try to slip a train terminal in right after the warehouse between processors and factories. That terminal then ties to both the inner city cargo loop and a direct route to an out of town destination. The cargo rail system is then used to move goods around town and handle exports as well as connecting to shipping and air cargo terminals. All that cuts down on the time spent and distance traveled by delivery trucks.

If your processors are not getting any raw materials due to the storage being full, you need more storage or get rid of some extractors.

To get an idea of how much storage you need, an example of 1 large ore mine (the bucket wheel excavator) at level 1 will produce 11,200 units of ore a week. You will need multiple raw storage areas. Once you get to level 5, that same large ore mine will produce 25,984 units a week. That means even more storage.

With one extractor, such as a small oil pump, you will need at least 2 small oil tank farms. For each other pump you have, you will need more raw storage.

produce less to make more. that is very intuitive. I have disabled some of my extractors and that seems to have fixed it. Thank you for your help!
