So I can’t seem to figure out how to move objects up and down.
I use the move it mod but can’t figure it out. Any help?

hit m to open move it
select yout object and press page up or page down.

works on most but not all objects, so try a different object if it doesn't work on the first.
(some objects like fence networks or some gate props can be terrain conforming, they stick to ground level, even move it can't change that)

Ahh that may have been it. Thanks I didn’t know that some couldn’t be used.

It was a fence that I was trying to move up

you'd need to eighter landscape the area or if landscaping is to clumsy for your needs you can try terraforming networks.
those are invisible networks that can be raised or lowered with move it and they will pull the ground with them like a street does if raised with move it.
you can get a "finer" resolution with the networks compared to landscaping tools

great tutorial vid but "This works for all items in CS." is incorrect.

1) there are items in CS move it can't touch like cims or parked cars.
ok, granted that was probably just sloppy usage of "all items" but:
2) even with items that move it can touch there are some that move it can't change the heigth with page up or down and neighter with the set to object height function shown in your vid because they are terraign conforming = sticking to ground level.

place one down like you woud place a street, straight, curved, sloped, how you want
use move it to lower or raise its nodes and to move them into place.

I mainly use it when the landscaping tools are not good enough
like when placing a very high quai landscaping often struggles and there are rocky outcrops at the bottom of the quai.
I'd place a road there to flatten the ground or if I don't want a road there a terraforming network.

the behave like roads when it comes to moving them around or raising lowering them with move it, just without the traffic stuff.
